Home Visits - Urgent
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or clearly cannot get to the practice because you are too ill. The doctor will only visit you at home if he/she thinks that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
If you think that you are entitled to a home visit please contact the practice BEFORE 10:00am on the day. Your details will be passed to the duty doctor* who will contact you to see if you need a home visit or not.
You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
*Duty doctor - Please be advised that you cannot choose which doctor visits you at home.
